NFL Draft day is 18 days out so we have more time to brainstorm, here is my first iteration of doing a Broncos 3-round mock, showcasing a scenario in which I’d be very excited as a Broncos fan, and I think it’s all possible to who’s on the board and when. This is inspired by Nick Kendell who does 3-round Broncos mocks for Mile High Huddle regularly, and I thought I’d give it a try today.
Without further ado, let’s dive in.
The Broncos own the following picks in the first 3 rounds:
Pick 20, Pick 51, Pick 85
Pick 20: Colston Loveland · TE · Michigan
I wouldn’t be surprised at all if Loveland isn’t available at 20, with teams like Indianapolis at 14 and Seattle at 18 being potential suitors. In this simulation, the Jets opted to address the O-Line here, pushing Tyler Warren down to 14, and the Seahawks went WR, letting Colston Loveland fall to #20.
Loveland is a fantastic Y-TE complement to Evan Engram, who’ll work out of the slot. Loveland has the floor, and ceiling to potentially be Bo Nix’s #1 weapon throughout the duration of his career, a fantastic pickup at 20 in my eyes as Loveland is a Top-10 prospect on my board.
TRADE: Titans trade Pick 35, 2026 R6 to the Broncos for Pick 51, 122, 2026 R4
(from TEN) Pick 35: TreVeyon Henderson · RB · Ohio State
I could really see a Round 2 trade-up in the cards this year for the Broncos. Here, they get their guy at #20 in Colston Loveland, so to start Day 2 they’re aggressively on the phones and find a trade partner in Tennessee.
TreVeyon Henderson fits like a glove in Denver, in a Sean Payton offense. His 3-down skillset between explosiveness, power, and pass protection makes him an easy Top-3 RB in the class in my opinion. I could see Henderson end up as the Broncos first round pick, whether it’s at #20 or in a move down, he’s that good and fits that well in Denver to where I could see him sneak into the 1st round. Here though, the Broncos move up 16 spots to get their future of the backfield.
Pick 85: Jamaree Caldwell · DT · Oregon
Caldwell is a girthy DT who moves well at his size. He has the floor to contribute right away in the DT rotation and the ceiling to soon possibly take over as the guy. The Broncos defensive front was their weakness against strong playoff teams like the Ravens and Bills over the course of last season, so adding to the IDL will be a big priority come draft day, whether it’s Day 1 or Day 2.
Caldwell has the frame of a prototypical nose tackle, but he blends it with nice athleticism to be loose and athletic at that size. He’s a great read-react defender which is another thing the Broncos interior defensive front could use. All in all, Caldwell is one of the best fits for the Broncos looking at the IDL class and getting him at #85 is perfect value.
That wraps up my first Broncos 3-round mock of the 2025 cycle! Draft day is just 18 days away and I’m ramping up my big board everyday, producing content on here, and just really taking in the wonders of draft season!
Sometime before Draft day I might put another Broncos 3-rounder out, but if not I will surely have a full league-wide mock before then, maybe 2 more!
